Recipe: Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats

There are many benefits to making homemade dog treats vs. buying store bought.  When you make homemade treats you have full control over what ingredients you use. This can help you avoid the hidden preservatives and artificial colors and flavors that come in normal store bought treats, making this a much healthier option. Making your own dog treats can also be a very cost effective option for you especially if you tend to buy “healthy” treat options at the store. Making homemade dog treats can also help your family bond with your dog.  Include kids in making dog treats to make it a full family activity!

You will need:

1 c whole wheat flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 c unsalted peanut butter
